A few weeks ago, we celebrated my 30th birthday! In honor of this momentous milestone, this is a three part series which includes 30 updates/thoughts/feelings since the last time I posted.

Part I – Move Updates

1. We moved Chase out of the house in Del Rio. Our stuff is packed away in a crate and is on a ship somewhere over the Pacific Ocean on its way to Japan.

3. I dropped Chase off at the airport on April 26th and he has landed safe and sound in Japan! Here we are outside the airport together: 

4. Chase is house hunting! And in true Chase fashion, he is being ultra thorough and wonderful, sending me video tours so that I can be in on the action. Check out the first of many here:

We ended up passing on this house because of the location, but it was so purrrrrfect otherwise.

6. In the same vein, he has also been car shopping. This little cutie is going to be my daily driver: 

7. We purchased my plane ticket to Japan! I fly on June 4 from Houston. My aunt was also kind enough to hook me up with an upgrade, so ya girl will be making the 13.5 hour trip in style (or just horizontally, haha). Thank you again, Aunt Mo! ❤ 

8. I got the latest COVID-19 booster and successfully hunted down my vaccination records, with the help of my best friend’s mom AKA the GOAT, Joi Shumaker. Joi(/Jan), if you are reading this, thank you again! 

9. Before I fly, I still need to move out of my place and pack everything I might want or need for up to six months into two suitcases… Wish me luck, folks! The movers will come pack up my apartment on May 25th, leaving me with the aforementioned suitcases to live out of until our household shipments arrive in Tokyo.
