Anotha one! Chase and I were both a bit perplexed and unimpressed by this home. For me, it lacks charm and character and for Chase, the layout seemed unintuitive. Chase named this home “Makkumansion” because the word for McDonald’s in Japanese is “Makudonarudo” and this place is the Japanese equivalent of a McMansion. Clever? Funny? You tell us.
Chase’s description below:
“This can only be described as a Japanese McMansion. The space and parking and locale are all ideal (save the busy street, lack of trees and any view of nature). The appointments are rather… base housing. For instance, if I wanted a toilet in the same room as my shower I’d be living on base, yea? And what’s with the washer/dryer taking space in the kitchen when there’s a giant empty closet on the adjacent exterior wall?? I’m mā-mā on this one, as the Nihingoes. I happened to scout the place while the realtor and housing office were conducting their inspection and some repairs, so I was able to see the place earlier than appointed, as I had hoped. I recall the realtor from 2015 – an unintentionally patronizing yet friendly fellow. Will we rent the MakuMansion? Stay tuned.”
We did not rent the McMansion, which means more tours to come!
